We adore pizza, regardless of the crust type – thin or deep dish.

Pizza even has its own holiday – National Pizza Day on Thursday. Around 13% of Americans eat pizza on any given day, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Which is roughly 1 in 8 Americans!

And what food is eaten the most on Super Bowl Sunday? In 2022, an estimated 12.5 million pizzas were sold in the U.S. on Super Bowl game day, according to the American Pizza Community organization. And it’s expected to do the same this year, as well.

On game day, Domino’s alone sells 11 million slices of pizza, while in 2021, Pizza Hut reported selling more than 1.4 million pizzas on the same day.
