The shooting was reported to police at 1:16 a.m. CT on the road fashionable with vacationers close to an address on the sting of the French Quarter, not removed from Canal Street, authorities stated.
All 5 injured persons are believed to have been shot, and the accidents aren’t believed to be life-threatening, police spokesman Aaron Looney stated.
Details about what led to the shooting, or whether or not police had leads about who fired the pictures, weren’t instantly obtainable. Detectives are investigating, Looney stated.
Four of the injured individuals have been taken to hospitals, and one was handled on the scene, Looney stated.
