Microsoft Corp. is in superior talks to buy speech-recognition firm Nuance Communications Inc. in a deal valued at about $16 billion, in accordance to a number of reports Sunday.
Bloomberg News, Reuters and CNBC every reported Microsoft may pay $56 a share, a 23% premium as of Friday’s closing inventory worth. If profitable, the acquisition could be Microsoft’s second-largest ever, behind 2016’s $24 billion buy of LinkedIn. All three reports stated an announcement could also be made in the approaching days.
