Bears vs. Texans score and live updates: Sunday Night Football highlights, analysis and news

Two spectacular plays highlighted that last Texans scoring drive: Stroud connected with Stefon Diggs on a 21-yard pass along the left sideline that was in a spot only Diggs could have gotten to it. The Texans’ big offseason acquisition fully extended and dragged his toes on the way out to complete the reception.

Later, Stroud was flushed far back downfield and kept rolling to his right to outrun the defenders bearing down on him. A lot of coaches would have probably preferred their quarterback throw the ball out of bounds rather than try to extend and risk taking the deep sack. But Stroud kept rolling and kept his eyes downfield and at the last second fired the ball 18 yards to Collins to keep the chains moving. Not many quarterbacks have both the athleticism, speed and arm strength to make such an accurate throw on the run like that, but that’s why Stroud is a rising star in this league.
