Angelcare opens logistics and packaging centre in Ontario, Canada

Baby and pet care company Angelcare Group has confirmed a more than C$20m ($14.26m) investment in a 130,000ft² logistics and packaging centre in Milton, in the Canadian province of Ontario.

The facility will act as Angelcare’s national warehouse and distribution hub and is the business’s first dedicated packaging plant for clumping cat litter in the town.

Situated close to major highways, the Port of Montreal and the proposed CN Rail Milton Logistics Hub, the site has been described as a key node for the group’s North American supply chain and export operations.

Angelcare Group CEO Rahul Sharda stated: “This strategic investment reflects our confidence in Canada as the cornerstone of Angelcare’s global operations.

“The new packaging and distribution centre in Milton represents more than just an expansion of our footprint — it is a bold step forward in strengthening our supply chain, creating new opportunities for our people, and ensuring we deliver the quality, service and innovation our customers expect.”

The centre will create 15 full‑time positions in the beginning, with numbers planned to double as production increases and exports to the US and other markets expand.

An automated packaging line installed at the site has a stated annual capacity of 4.6 million boxes.

The building has room and infrastructure to house two more lines in the future.

The site will package Litter Genie Light, a cat litter product manufactured from Canadian bentonite clay.

The product is additive‑free, 99% dust‑free and 20% lighter than other national brands.

Sustainability measures were incorporated during development, including lighting, HVAC systems [heating, lighting and air conditioning] and logistics planning intended to lessen transport emissions.

The company also outlined plans for the Milton centre to develop into an innovation hub, with an on‑site research and development laboratory, demonstration space and training centre to support product development and cross‑functional work across its portfolio.

“Angelcare opens logistics and packaging centre in Ontario, Canada” was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand.
