(BPRW) Jessie Trice Community Health System recognizes National Health Center Week: Aug. 6-12

(Black PR Wire) The United States’ community health centers are set to take center stage as National Health Center Week 2023 commences from August 6 – 12, 2023. This annual event pays tribute to the invaluable contributions of health centers nationwide, acting as the beacon of strength, service and care within their communities. Each day of the week will be dedicated to a specific focus area, from public health in housing to children’s health. This year’s theme is “The Roadmap to a Stronger America.”

Each year, JTCHS recognizes and celebrates National Health Center Week. Health Centers provide essential care to a significant portion of the American population. According to The National Association of Community Health Centers, 1 in 11 Americans are health center patients, of whom 90% belong to low-income families, 65% represent racial minorities, and 20% are uninsured.

“Jessie Trice Community Health System (JTCHS) has been committed to providing access to innovative, quality comprehensive primary health care to the South Florida Community for more than 50 years,” said Annie Neasman, president and CEO of JTCHS. “JTCHS has made a profound impact in the lives of those we serve; we are humbled and honored to be an integral part of this community. We look forward to welcoming even more residents to JTCHS for their healthcare needs in years to come .”
