Carpenter Joshua Shaw dies after incident at Lambeau Field

A construction worker at the Green Bay Packers‘ Lambeau Field died recently, the team announced.

In a monthly column published Saturday, Packers CEO Mark Murphy said a carpenter named Joshua Shaw died after an incident at the stadium.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and fellow workers,” Murphy wrote.

The Packers did not specify any details surrounding his death, but Murphy mentioned the stadium is currently undergoing renovations with new and wider video boards being installed. The incident occurred around the north end zone scoreboard.

WBAY reported the incident happened on June 15 and Shaw died on June 17.

Shaw worked for Mavid Construction, which is a subcontractor of Miron Construction. Miron Construction said in a statement to WBAY was involved in a “serious incident.” USA TODAY Sports has reached out to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for comment.

Shaw’s family told the outlet all of his vital organs were donated.
