Grant Thornton UK has expanded its Advisory leadership team by making seven senior professionals from within the company equity partners.
London-based Rob Turner and Alasdair Grainger have been promoted to partners in the consulting division.
Turner will oversee Public Services Consulting, working with government departments and public sector bodies on large and complex programmes.
Grainger assumes leadership of Energy Transition and Sustainability, taking responsibility for a newly combined team focused on supporting energy transition initiatives.
Economic Consulting will now be jointly led by Tom Middleton in London and Joel Strange, who divides his time between London and Cardiff.
Their remit covers economic regulation, dispute-related economic analysis, economic modelling, and evaluation of policy and impact, providing clients with structured insight into economic challenges and choices.
Adam Hughes has become a partner in the Debt and Capital Advisory team. His role centres on advising clients on capital structure, private equity-backed transactions, and merger and acquisition deals.
In Business Risk Services, London-based Emma Young and Ben Langford have been promoted to partner.
Both have worked at the practice for close to 20 years and concentrate on risk management and integrated assurance, supporting organisations as they address operational and strategic uncertainty.
Together, the seven new partners broaden Grant Thornton UK’s Advisory coverage across areas such as economic development, economic analysis, public services change programmes and data-led decision support.
The moves sit within the company’s wider objective of building out its Advisory offering, which includes a stated intention to add 160 partners over the next two years.
