Jack White is speaking out against celebrities who he says have associated with former President Donald Trump.
The musician, 48, took to Instagram on Monday to share photographs of various public figures including Joe Rogan, Mel Gibson, Mark Wahlberg and Guy Fieri, all of whom he criticized for appearing at events and venues where Trump was also present.
“Anybody who ‘normalizes’ or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of (expletive) Trump with any level of respect is ALSO disgusting in my book,” White wrote. “That’s you Joe Rogan, you Mel Gibson, you Mark Wahlberg, you Guy Fieri. This is a statement from me, not a discussion/debate.”
White appears to have disabled comments on his post. USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Rogan, Gibson, Wahlberg and Fieri for comment.
Since Trump entered the political arena with his bid for the presidency in 2016, he has sparked criticism from many celebrities and public figures in the entertainment industry.
“Clueless” actress-turned-conservative commentator Stacey Dash walked back her previous support of the former president in an interview with Daily Mail in 2021, saying the Jan. 6 Capitol riots were a turning point for her political opinions.

“When that happened I was like ‘OK, I’m done. I’m truly done,’ ” she said. “Because senseless violence of any kind I denounce. What happened on Jan. 6 was just appalling and stupid.”
Dash has said she voted for Barack Obama in 2008, but then decided to support Mitt Romney in 2012 because she wanted “the next four years to be different.”
“We have a new president,” she said. “Being a supporter of Trump has put me in some kind of box that I don’t belong in. But he’s not the president. I’m going to give the president that we have right now a chance.”
