US President Donald Trump has told Congress that the American dream is “unstoppable” and the United States is regaining its confidence as he begins a second term.

With his close adviser Elon Musk among those in the audience for his prime-time televised address, the 78-year-old Republican billionaire said he was “just getting started” on his radical plans to reshape the country.

Trump hailed the achievements of his first six weeks, vowing to press on with his polarising bid to reshape the US government and end the Ukraine war — whatever the cost.

“We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplish in four years or eight years — and we are just getting started,” Trump said to frequent chants from loyal politicians of “USA, USA!”

“The American Dream is surging — bigger and better than ever before. The American Dream is unstoppable, and our country is on the verge of a comeback the likes of which the world has never witnessed, and perhaps will never witness again.”

Almost every line got loud applause from the Republican Party members.
But within minutes protest began. One Democratic congressman, Al Green, was ejected because he refused to stop heckling and shaking his walking stick at Trump.

Other Democrats silently held up placards including two reading “False” and “Musk steals.”

He got big cheers from supporters on pronouncing that his war on diversity programs meant “our country will be woke no longer.”
“We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplish in four years or eight years,” Trump claimed.
